Success Stories from Voice123

One of the most enjoyable thing for us at Voice123 is to hear about success stories from those booking work through our site. This week, we would like to share some messages sent to us recently. We hope this provides insight into the 'before and after' of certain situations when jobs were booked. Please see below!

Kristin Lennox writes:
"I booked a national spot for Passages Malibu a while ago through Voice123, but then they called back and needed me to record a second spot, so it turned into repeat business as well. You can see the original spot here!, I want to share this to give others hope; when I auditioned, I was ranked 2nd out of 25, along with 6 others for it -- not the best odds. When they emailed to tell me I got it, they said the client decided to go with me instead. So you just never know... So thanks, Voice123 -- this was a GREAT gig!"

Rachel Anslover writes:
"I am a voice actor based in NYC and am always looking for more opportunities to do what I love. I took a chance by getting a Premium Membership at Voice123, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Thanks to my new demo produced by Nancy Wolfson of Braintracksaudio and the fabulous workings of Voice123, I have already been contacted by several interested clients. After hitting them back with a quick audition, I have booked enough jobs to pay for my Premium Membership for the next several years and more! I'm actually on my way to the studio to record one of those jobs right now! Thanks for all the fantastic work you do at Voice123!"

I landed a job that some of you may have seen on the Ellen Degeneres Show, through an audition on Voice123. "The Shake Weight for Men." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zc381zH_IeU A video that has gone viral, what a hoot! That's my voice!!!! The original Shake Weight (for women) was voiced by another Voice123 Premium Member as well if I remember correctly. Just today, I booked a 10 hour, BBC, Documentary job that I hadn't even auditioned for! The company producing it contacted me after having listened to my posted demo on Voice123. Believe me, THIS SITE CAN WORK VERY WELL.

Truth be told: I was almost ready to take voice123 up on their 30-day money back guarantee. Boy, am I glad I didn't! After speaking to one of the team members, I decided to give it another go.

Exactly 1 day later I struck gold. One simple audition led to a voice-over job that had me record at least two scripts per day, 5 days a week for two months. Jobs like that don't come around that often.

To me, auditioning often feels like mining. Day in day out we keep on digging for diamonds in the dark. Just because we’re not finding what we’re looking for, doesn’t mean it’s not there. Giving up is easy. But if you take yourself out of the game, you’ve already lost.

Voice-over work is not for those who crave instant gratification or recognition. Neither is it a get rich quick scheme. A voice-over career is for those who are passionately persistent.

So, take a good look at your latest voice123 audition opportunity. If it's a good fit for your voice, put your heart and soul into it. Then let it go. And who knows…. It just might come back to you when you least expect it. Three words: HANG IN THERE! You’ll be glad you did.

I've gotten several jobs through Voice123 that have lead to repeat business. I made my money back on the subscription fee in the first month! There's so much work out there and there's a job for every kind of voice. Voice123 has helped me weather a bad economy by supplimenting my monthly income. If you have the desire, Voice123 has the opportunity. Thank you, Voice123!

Passion and commitment are essential, and it's stories like these that sometimes provide the little additional "nudge" when either of those occasionally begin to flag.

Years ago, I remember hearing my drama coach telling the class that "if you don't believe in yourself, nobody is going to do it for you"... and that is certainly as true today as it was then!

Thank you for sharing your Voice123 success stories with everyone, they are a BIG help, and I promise to do the same once I have some positive stories of my own :)

Good luck!!!

Even though I don't have a great before and after story, I am really encouraged by those that I have read. I am looking forward to success with voice123.com.

I'm still struggling, still starting out. I've booked some jobs through V123, & am working my network offline as well. What I am finding most useful about V123 at this point is the broad spectrum of opportunities, tools, & advice that are helping to grow & hone my style.

I don't have a before and after story yet either, but I was ready to get my money back when one of my audtions was ranked 1st of 26! I was very excited. There were 3 others with the same ranking, but it was a thrill to have gotten that far! I am working hard to get that 1st audition and when I do I will definitely share the experience! Thanks Voice123.

Been ranked #1 and also seen a few "likely hiring" comments on my feedback status reports- but have not booked a job yet. Hoping the encouragement from Kristen and others holds true! Enjoying using Voice 123 so far.

I love reading success stories! It's especially helpful (as in these cases) when specific information and strategies are included. I've had enough success to tantalize and motivate me to keep pressing on in my voice biz journey. I look forward to the day when my story will be featured!
